Many of you are asking how to help in the aftermath of the devestating earthquake that has left an incomprehensible number of people dead, injured, hungry, thirsty, broken, and homeless.  As a campus ministry, Campus Crusade for Christ is assessing what our role will be.  Right now food, drinkable water, medical supplies, and trained professionals are urgently needed.

Do you have a deep desire to share with a friend the life changing Good News of what Jesus did for you on the cross?  Have you ever felt a disconnect between the message you shared and the "reality" of what your friend see's in his world? Do you know where your friend is coming from in her world-view?  Being effective in clearly communicating the Gospel often can be hindered by not understanding the perspective of the person we share with.  Here is a new tool that is being developed that might help.

What is PERSPECTIVE?

Perspective is an experimental evangelism tool that greatly aids you in understanding what someone believes and why.   It allows you to communicate your faith story and bring a person to a point of decision to put their faith in Jesus Christ.  Perspective also helps a very abstract and conceptual conversation to become more visual and concrete.

Here is a facinating look at the typical perspective of this year's college freshman.  Each year Beloit College in Beloit, WI publishes the "Mindset List," a list of observations that help to identify the experiences that have shaped the lives—and formed the mindset—of students starting their post-secondary education each fall.

A few of my favorites:

• They have never used a card catalog to find a book.
• There has always been a Cartoon Network.
• Britney Spears has always been heard on classic rock stations.
